I have a 2010 Honda Insight financed through Honda. My Chap 7 discharge came through just last week, and I chose not to reaffirm the car loan. I am thinking now that I may have made a mistake there. (I did not reaffirm because my income is too low and I thought the judge would reject the reaffirmation. In reality, my BF--who is not on the loan--and I split the cost of the payment and the insurance.) I am current on the payments and will remain so--but I am losing sleep over the fear that they will come in the night and repo the car. Is there any way to reaffirm after a discharge? If not, does anyone have any idea as to what my options are? I might be able to move the car into the BFs name, but short of that, does anyone have any suggestions.

as long as u pay on time u should be ok.It will all depend on the resale value of the car. A bank doesn't want people driving around in a car with no legal obligation to that car because there is a much bigger chance that someone will run the car into the ground and not maintain it and then just walk away from it. It is in the bank's interest to repossess the car early on and resell it.Filed chapter 7 on 9/17 341 on 10/20
