There is no way I can file before Oct 31st because I need to catch up on mortgage."I DECLARE BANKRUPTCY!" Ch 7 Filed 7/15/11 * 3 Minute 341 8/19/11 * Discharged 10/20/11

Edited to add: It also means your Schedule J will probably get a closer inspection, so be prepared for that. This post does not constitute legal advice. If you use my advice in place of a lawyer, God help you.

I see from your post that you were already over the median, so in a practical sense not much has changed for you. You would have had to pass the full means test anyway."I DECLARE BANKRUPTCY!" Ch 7 Filed 7/15/11 * 3 Minute 341 8/19/11 * Discharged 10/20/11

Reverse my earlier comment. I just went through all the IRS numbers for post Nov 1. The only change was the state median income. All others (food, housing, etc) remained the same.Stopped paying: 08/10, Filed CH7: 08/27/10 , 341 & No Asset Report: 10/6/10, Last day to object: 12/06/10, Discharged: 12/07/10, Closed: 12/08/10
