How to stop a Garnishment the same day as Emerg Petition?

Filing Emerg Petition today pro-se, if accepted, I need to stop a Garnishment set to hit Friday.

If I read enough on this, I need to get a copy of the filing, (or rather the filing #???)
to the lawyer(hand deliver?), work(I can fax that in) and then drop off a copy to the Courthouse that ordered the garnishment?


I assume I also need to call the lawyer in the case before I drop it off to be sure I speak to him personally?

What am I missing or is this all wrong?
