Does the trustee review all of the financial documents that I submit to my attorney (bank statements, bills, pay stubs, etc.) and match that information to the schedules that my attorney submits?

Yes, I think they do. Bank statements to verify your expenses and other transactions. Bills to check for luxury stuff and timeline of purchases. Pay stubs to verify your income.Filed chapter 7 Jul 13, 2010 341 hearing Aug 12, 2010 Trustee's report of no distribution Aug 20, 2010 Discharged Oct 13, 2010 Closed Oct 28, 2010.

Hello SOCALBK7,
I filed pro-se and the court had a list of documents that got filed w. the court; all official forms and a couple pay stubs, no bank statements, no tax returns, no bills
In addition to what the court sent, the trustee got 2 yrs tax returns and we had a request to bring a couple items to the 341
I suspect a good lawyer wants all sorts of info upfront to prepare the filing, but they send a set list to the court, and send the trustee whatever they want. The general rule seems to be "be ready for anything, but if they don't ask, don't bring it up"
Good luck with your case!

We filed pro-se and the only thing that we turned in with our schedules were tax returns and pay stubs for 3 months. They didn't ask for anything else. I would assume with the trustee's having so much on their plate it'd be a special circumstance that they would look at it but normally I highly doubt it.

The trustees have a staff of people that look over documents that are submitted and cross reference them with your schedules. If you were honest on your schedules you have nothing to worry about. I'm sure since you submitted everything to your attorney that all is well or your attorney would have caught any clerical discrepancies before filing.Filed Chapter 13 02/2006 - Confirmed 05/2006 - Discharged 09/2011
I'm not an attorney. My replies are merely suggestions or observations, not legal advice. As always, consult with an attorney before making any decisions.
