after trying to save up enough cash to file ch 7 we did so Thursday. I don't really feel the weight lifted off my shoulders yet. now have to wait for the 341 meeting near the end of October. my lawyer said we were a no asset case, and we are under the means by about $10 thousand. now i can start telling all the callers to call him instead. any body have any encouraging words?

I filed on 8/27. Didn't feel weight lifted until recently...I have extra $$ at the end of the paycheck period. And I trust my attorney. Worst part....waiting. Waiting for the 341, then the 60 days...the solution: visit the forum. Sounds like you are right on course for a smooth road. One thing you can do is find out where your trustee holds 341 meetings and watch a few. Then you will know what it will be like when your turn comes.

Congrats on filing. It does get easier from here, especially being a no asset case. The 341 is a breeze. There are some really good threads on this forum that will help you prepare for the 341.
