I was getting some more paperwork together for my attorney tonight. YAY! I found those two paystubs that were missing. I was also trying to get the last years statements on my CC's in case they shut me out after this ball starts rolling. I cannot afford to pay for copies of my statements at the rates I have seen some of you post.
What I found was this:
Chase: I have not used the card in over a year but faithfully pay the minimum plus a little more. (I forgot that they had lowered my credit line by 5,000 via a letter in the mail) Tonight when I attempted to go on to print statements I was locked out already. Odd since the account is in excellent standing.
Discover: I entered into a 9 month 'hardship' program with them back in Aug 09. I agreed to a freeze on the account and auto debit of $100/month from checking. It is now 12 months and the account is still frozen (I am fine with that.) however the auto debit continues and there is no way to cancel it online.
In looking over some charges on other accounts I ran into some things I want to question you all and I will be sure to talk about this with the attorney. I kinda just want a second opinion.
I bought my son an ipod back in May, I consider this a 'big purchase'. $176.00 I have made several hundred dollars, nearly a thousand in payments to that card since but not 6 months of payments. Red flag?
If you make a big purchase like that as long as you have stopped using the card and pay that amount back will you be ok if it has not been 6 months or do you wait? Does that make sense?
Last one. My car payment is done in 7 months. It is $500/month (I signed up to pay extra so I would pay it off in 4 years instead of 5.) I need to reaffirm because the only other car we have is 11 years old and 200,000 miles. If I do not file in the next month will that figure in as future income as our bills would drop by $500 or do they just look at what your bills are at the time of filing. I hope this makes sense. It is late and I am ready for bed. In my head I know what I am asking, I just hope it translates.
Thanks,
Ugh!
