Checking Account Overdrawn Question

So, on August 16 (3 AM), I withdrew the $1600 cash from my checking account to pay my lawyer, leaving me a balance of $34. On that same date, all my payday loans hit my account and placed it in a negative balance of $225. The bank blocked my account. I also have a linked overdraft account which is over the limit anyway. I filed Chapter 7 on August 19. I called the bank today to see if I could pay the $225 to bring it current and unblock the account, but not use the account anymore, since I have already opened a new checking and savings account (smart move, if I may say so). My bank told me that I have to show proof that I made the payday loans payments before they can even talk about accepting the $225 and unblocking the account. Anyway, the overdraft account is included in my BK and I figured my bank would close all my checking account anyway, since they are linked. Should I just keep my $225 and forget about the account?

drowning, did you file pro se or via attorney (I forget)? I'm in a similar situation, but not with payday loans, rather an IRS ACH debit that overdrew my account a couple days before filing. Attorney just included account in filing and told me to forget about it. Maybe you want to check with you attorney if you have one?

Yea, I filed with an attorney. I did include the the overdraft account, which is the exact account number as the checking account (cuz they're linked), so I guess the checking account is included in my BK. All the payday loans are included as well. We'll see how that works out. Also, who knows? Maybe it's also blocked because I'm sure by now they've received notice of my BK.
