Finally Discharged!! now what?

Good Day All,

as of 8/14/10 I am finally discharged
Thanks for everyones help!!

Now....what are the first things i should do to get back on track?

1) Request a credit report right? but from who?
2) Get a secured line of credit? but from who?
3) Get a gas card?

I was just reading under the "After Discharge" section that it is best to wait 60-90 days and then get your credit reports to make sure everything is correct. There are also some posts on which cards to apply for in order to rebuild credit. You may want to look in that section. I'm not there yet, so I haven't spent a lot of time in that section.

Congrats on the fresh start. You need to give the credit bureaus 60-90 days to update stuff, so I'd suggest after 90 days order your credit reports from each bureau. Only getting them individually will give the address to dispute information for each one of the three. Alternatively, you can get your three reports for free once a year from www.annualcreditreport.com.

As far as getting credit again, I'd suggest just waiting for the avalanche of post BK offers from various places that are going to visit your mailbox....or you can vsit the after discharge section here and see what others recommend.
