Trustee question

Does a trustee have access to your bank account throughout your bankruptcy case? Do we have worry about someone looking and questioning every purchase or spending we engage in? I live in WI. I'm not trying hide anything from potential trustee, I just don't want to be afraid to go out on the town with my wife here and there for example

Not immediate access, but the trustee can request them at anytime.. From what I have read on these forums, you should be spending money on living expenses. No vacations, luxury purchases etc until after discharge.. Dinner and a movie should be fine. I'm certain others will chime in as well.

Agree with previous poster. They do not have access to your bank accounts, but can request updated statements at any time. You are allowed to live and give yourself a treat here and there, like a moderate dinner and movie, etc.

we only left what we needed for living expenses in the checking account. even though there were other expenses we paid "cash" and kept every single receipt in case any question arose.

since out monthly bills were fixed...nothing appears out of place. but honestly...other than a pizza once in a while... we never ever did anything for almost 3 years,no movies, dinners...didn't buy a tv, or any lux. items at all. we keep out heads down and just keep kept truckin.
