    judgements post bk

I have three judgment(well three I know of now)

I was reading on here about vacating judgments post bk.

Is this something I do or my bk lawyer does? Or will it cost me extra cash.

Also do they have to be filed in the county the judgment was filed in.

Also one more I have a tax lien from my business that is about 6 years old.

Is there anyway I could talk the IRS into forgiving it.

      judgements

      Hi bigtime !

You can do it or pay your lawyer to do it.

Also do they have to be filed in the county the judgment was filed in.

Yes, but you probably can do it by mail

I have no idea, but I have seen posts on the forum about taxes X yrs old discharged but Y yrs not discharged, etc, etc. Look around the forum, lots of advice on dealing with the ol' beast IRS

ps: make sure you check your credit report to make sure the judgements go away. It took me a LOT of letters but they finally did it and it made a big difference in my credit score.
      Ch7 filed 5/12/2010.....341 meeting 6/30/2010....report of no distribution 8/15/2010.....discharged 10/01/2010.....closed 11/09/2010

Ohh I will and I like writing letters

What sucks is two of them are in the same country up north not a big deal(2 maybe 2 1/2 hour drive) The third the big ohh 18k one is in NC I wish I could serve them with the bk notice personally (they cost me my business)
I will do a search on our lovely IRS maybe call them and see what they can or cannot(read will not) do

Ohh any idea what the running cost to have the lawyer do it is? I know state to state a lawyer to lawyer it all changes but any idea.

I think what might hurt me there is I never filed the return. I got a letter requesting info on my income for my business a few months after it went under. I called and told them I had went under and had no income to report. They asked me to send them a letter and sent me a bill for 500 bucks. I think the amount of sales tax I had used uner my tax id number not sure. SO it might not be income but sales tax. Not a big deal though.

Also does it need to be paid before I file or can I do it after.
