Another question. If you're behind on mortgage, should you still include the payments as an expense?

It probably varies by district - but I've seen many post that they are able to claim the mortgage payments (because you owe them) even if behind. But keep in mind that if you're behind now, filing ch. 7 will only delay foreclosure unless you catch up.
You may be able to contact your lender and ask about considering you for a modification. It may or may not lead to anything, but could be a way to delay any foreclosure proceedings AND can allow you to honestly claim you are following up on all options before letting the house go.
