    Here we go again

I am a nervous wreck. We filed Chapter 7 in 1999, young credit card crazy and 100% my own fault. In 2006 we filed Chapter 13, my husband was out of work and everything got behind. By the time he got a new job it was impossible to get caught up with things. We had our 13 dismissed a few months ago in order to file a Chapter 7. We have medical bills that we just can't pay and our getting sued over it. I look back now and regret not making some kind of payment arrangements with the medical facilities but it's to late now, multiple pending small claim suits over these now.

We just filed the Chapter 7 today and I am so nervous that I look like a fool for doing this AGAIN! We both work full time and have 5 children all still at home. We just squeaked under the income limit and I am so worried we are going to get raked over the coals. My husband travels and I am concerned we will have to get the 341 rescheduled another thing to worry about. Of course he seems just fine with everything...I am the one stressing out

You can convert from 13 to 7 without having to being dismissed. Can you?

Anyway, BK is a stressful event, at least it's for me, and I'm pretty sure that no one wants it. From the time I stopped paying the creditors to deciding time to file and actual filing, it was very stressful for me so I understand what you've been thru. Hang in there.

We couldn't convert (which was what I wanted to do) because he had filed the 13 before the time frame was up or something like that. I understood what our attorney meant its just hard to explain. I feel like I keep trying and trying. The first was all us for sure without a doubt the 13 was over the loss of a job and we made payments on time for almost 4 years, this one is all medical expenses. I don't have any payments except my monthly expenses we can't afford it so we just don't. I have a son with a bone disorder and 2 daughters with severe asthma. My husband had a TON of tests and procedures done over massive stomach pain, 2 kids tonsils removed, I could go on and on. We have insurance but just couldn't keep up with the 20% and deductible we had to pay. It's very frustrating right now.
