We recently converted to Chapter 7 from Chapter 13. It was due to a significant loss in income over a period of time. We completed the 341 meeting less than 2 weeks ago. Just today I was presented with an opportunity to take on a part-time assignment that could bring in up to $2,000 for a couple of weeks work. Since work is hard to find these days and it is unlikely i'll have another opportunity like this I hate to pass this up, but will I jeopardize our case at this stage if I all of a sudden make extra income?

Your finances at the point in time of your 341 meeting are a snapshot in time.
What happens after in terms of a raise, new job or contract should not matter.
Have you consulted with your attorney ...... ? -
I got offered a substantial raise and bonus days before my 341. My attorney advised me to take and so did the trustee!!! The trustee told me to remember that CH7 is a snapshot on the day of filing not a movie (with a few exceptions).Comment
