    Post 60 Days

I read the sticky about being over 60 days and not getting discharged yet. I filed in L.A., so I'm probably just backlogged. My question is, can I begin trying to rebuild my credit....or do I have to wait until my discharge is official? (Not in too big of a rush to begin rebuilding, just curious). Thanks

From what I've read, until discharge is official, the stay is not removed, hence the answer is no.
    Stopped paying: 08/10, Filed CH7: 08/27/10 , 341 & No Asset Report: 10/6/10, Last day to object: 12/06/10, Discharged: 12/07/10, Closed: 12/08/10

      file date or discharge date?

Chiming in here to see if any of the guru's can shed some light....

I have seen posts saying that the only thing that matters is the date of filing and before.

Others say what happens between filing and discharge is important.

A few point out that discharged is not closed.

Tons of info on what is OK/not OK prepetition. Not a problem.

Any guidelines on what is OK/not OK between file date and discharge?
(I have seen new job, monetary gift, opening bank account, getting credit card, and taking out a loan all w/o a definitive answer)

      What matters discharge to close?

      Thanks for any clarity,
