Filing Tomorrow!!!!.....few last questions...?

I'll be glad once I get filed, I can only imagine the weight that will be lifted off my back.....if from nothing else than not having to figure forms out and screwing them up and making changes and the whole deal.....

So, does the order matter?......right now I have them something like this....ch 7

Nothing is stapled or hole-punched. I still need to make copies and I'm hesitant to punch or staple anything because I'd rather not screw something up. Definitely not punchin or stapling MASTER though.....

Do you know if they give you an answer one way or another about the fee waiver?.............and/or should I be prepared to pay it? b/c I dont have any money!?!?

Should I alter the order in any way or does it really matter as long as the schedules & associated pages are in order and everything is present?

After all, it's over 50 pages and I feel funny handing them in without being fastened in some way. Although I might want them loose so they can scan them??

I don't know about waivers of fees. I think in NJ you can get a payment plan for the fees but you have to go before a judge for that. You have to have very low wages to be eligible for a fee waiver in NJ.

Actually I make very little money (NJ is a very expensive state to live in), I actually make $4000 a month LESS than the state average, but I'm still considered too rich to qualify for the fee waiver.

I filed today!!!!.............I managed to find 'document requirements' on my district website......first I'll tell u what it said, then what I did....she had no complaints btw

My local court wanted, NO Staples/NO Holes-Punched in the Originals. They did want them separated. I used the order I have listed above, which in reality doesn't really matter as long it's organized and the schedules are in order and you don't have page 1 of one form followed by page 4 of another form and everything is scattered. JUST BE NEAT........It then said you 'may' have holes punched in the copies and they should be stapled by form unless over 20pages (might have been 19 or 21, but it was something like that)

SO, I paper-clipped all ORIGINALS within a form together. For example, Official Form I was 3pages(i think, lol), so those 3pages got a paper-clip, my schedules with SUmmary & declarations etc was 24pages and that got a paper-clip.......Then I went and did the same with the COPIES, except they got staples. Although the schedules got a paper-clip b/c they were so big and the staple wouldnt have made it through.

Then I took the entire stack of ORIGINALS and used a binder clip to hold them and I did the same with the stack of COPIES. Then I stuck em all in an envelope. (that parts kind of irrelevant) lol

First thing she asked was ''how are u going to be paying", I said i have a fee waiver and she replied, ok. She flipped through everything, looked like she was simply making sure I had all the forms needed as she removed all the paper-clips. Then she set the MASTER and the SSN verification aside. Then she flipped through and counted all the pages of the ORIGINAL......then she went through the COPIES as well.......told me to have a seat and it would be bout 10mins.....

I sat there probably 5-7mins at most. She gave me my COPIES back with computer stamps on them. She explained everything on them, my case number, the name of my trustee and the name of the judge in regards to my fee waiver. She said, I should hear from both of them pretty soon as to what the trustee needs and whether my fee waiver is approved by the judge. Probably within a week to 10days for the fee waiver.

and I'm in CA....................dont know if I mentioned it, but I didn't punch holes in the copies either.....

I got the order of documents from the court website, and when I brought it in the clerk promptly rearranged everything! Didn't complain though, said I did a good job. Same as you, no holes, no staples, paperclip multi-page docs. Clerk said the most important thing was the format of the creditors matrix (I think it is variable by court/district)

Seen on the forum where it is important to follow up on the no-fee waiver (find out what is needed for documentation, what to file w/ the court, etc)....apparently some courts expect you to know all this and so they don't tell you.
