Brainstorm request: What would you say to diminish desire for a fridge and a washer & dryer (all 3.5 years old) realistically? I understand pee on furniture, but not on fridge...lol.

Say the fridge is leaking. The drum doesn't spin anymore on the washer. Is this a gas or just electric dryer? If it's gas, tell them that you smell gas everytime you dry your clothes. You've even called in the gas company. If it's electricity, tell them you had a power outage and ever since then the dryer stops in the middle of a cycle. Also, if the washer and dryer are in the basement, tell them that you had some flooding and they're damaged. You currently do your laundry at the laundromat. Of course, these are just my opinions.

Yup. Something like that. I would send them to the city dump to find fridge parts (whatever was left after the explosion)..lol

Researchnerd, got kids? If not, that's OK. I sound like an infomercial. LOL. Tell them one of the legs broke off the table and you had to glue it back on, but it's still wobbly. Chairs are stained (if they have padding).

How about a small kitchen fire from cooking grease that damaged the surfaces? That way if they want pictures it's easy to recreate and fix!!
