I filed Ch. 7 last year, and was discharged 6 months ago. I just looked on Pacer, and now I'm an asset case and the trustee filed a "Notice to file proof of claim due to recovery of assets". In it, it says that he has recovered assets. However, I have not given him anything and I have not heard anything from him for over 3 months. My car was repoed after discharge though and sold at auction (for less than I owed on it). Would he file something that says he's recovered assets based on assets he expects to recover?

Unless your Trustee made a mistake he found something. Maybe a tax refund. Maybe the recovery of a preferential payment you made to a creditor within 90 days prior to filing or to an insider within 1 year prior to filing. Why don't you just call and ask?Comment
