Hi there.... I'm new here.... my husband and I are on the verge of getting chapter 7 filed... we know we need to, but not sure how to swing the retainer fee.The lawyer retainer fees that I've seen locally are around $1500. Yikes.
Has anyone filed online with one of the programs that let you file for a few hundred dollars? It seems that I've seen both good and bad reviews for them, so I would rather hear from a real person lol. We have no assets, are driving two beater cars, and are renting. We need to file due to garnishments, charged off cc's, two repos, and a foreclosure. It's been a rough few years... we lost half our income. I appreciate any help you may suggest!
