I am not new here but I haven't posted much of anything. I have been lurking around on this board for a while now just reading and pondering.
Well today I am meeting with an attorney and filing our BK. I am a little nervous but I feel that thanks to this forum I know what I am up against. We shouldn't have any problems(knocking on wood). We don't own a home and our vehicles are paid for(they are old and not worth anything either). The main reason that we have to do this is because of a garnishment. We had a vehicle repo'd in 2008 and they were already garnishing my wages at my previous employer and I really didn't have a problem with that but then I lost that job and now I am making a considerable amount less than before and they have started to garnish what little I do have. We are barely making it as it is, my husband was unemployed from 4/09 until May of this year. So now we both have decent income but we can't afford this garnishment(we have 2 kids and we have to pay for them to have a decent education because our local school system has received an F report card from the state of Ohio)
So today is the day. What can I expect? I know I am a little late asking this but I thought I might get a response or to while I am getting ready for this meeting. I have only talked to this attorney by phone but he came highly recommended by all my former coworkers(everyone in the department used him to do their filing!) I think I am just ready to get this over with! Wish me luck
