Will their be any problems if a family member deposited a few hundred dollars into my account? We will be filing CH7 in a few weeks. The money is not a loan, a gift, just an in-law helping out with paying for school supplies for my kids.

It may be considered income on the lookback. For future reference, if anyone wants to help you out with expenses, they need to pay the expenses directly. So, in this instance, she should have taken you shopping for the school supplies, and paid for them at the register for you so that the money never touched your hands....Filed Chapter 13 on 2-28-10. 341 completed 4/14/10.
