Asset Case Question

We filed in January, 341 in March, and were deemed an asset case due to a small parcel of unimproved land, our discharge came on schedule in May. Trustee requested a property value assesment at 341 which we provided within the week through our lawyer. We have heard nothing since the 341 from the Trustee other than a letter to file claims within a few days our 341, but not a peep since then though. It's been over 135 days since our 341 and 75 days since our discharge. I haven't checked pacer but when I call the automated voice system its simply says awaiting closing. Our attorney says he has heard nothing from the Trustee either. Is it odd that we have heard nothing since our 341 concerning our "asset" ?

Odd perhaps, but it happens. Have you got any notification of an attorney or accountant being hired to administer the assets?

No not a thing, nor has my attorney. The property in question is a small acreage (less than 5), is not worth a lot and is flood prone rural area. I believe the Trustee envisioned it being worth more than what was actually listed in my schedules. At the 341 he requested the tax assesment and a contact number for myself and mentioned a realtor/assesor would/might be contacting me.That was over 135 + days ago. Since then nothing, our discharge came on schedule like it was supposed to.

Discharged, yet not abandoned. Your attorney can file a motion to compel the trustee to abandon the property.

Thanks frogger. I'm going to give it a few more months and if I don't hear anything by then or see a change in the "awaiting closing" staus, thats what I'm going to do.
