When does credit score take the biggest hit?

We filed last October. Our credit scores at the time were 572 and 563.
    We were discharged in January.
We are awaiting CLOSING though due to a possible car accident settlement.

When our case finally CLOSES will our credit score take another hit? Or is the biggest hit at filing? Our credit report shows the public record of filing and being discharged. Our accounts are for the most part reporting correctly showing "included in chapter 7" for almost all accounts.

I am curious because as we speak our scores are 700; 693; 681 and 682; 685; 675. Pretty good considering.

    Thanks for any imput!

Sorry - I dont know the answer to your question, but what you posted is very encouraging. We had our 341 meeting today and mid score when I checked it last week was 546. I would love to be where you are in just less than a years time. Hopefully, the biggest hit is when you FILED. My understanding is that a BK can be on your report for up to 10 years from the date of filing. So in that respect, if time does heal all wounds (e.g. the bankruptcy) then changes in just the staus (filed, discharged, closed, dismissed) of your BK have no bearing on the score.

Again - I am a newbie to this, so I don't know that - just an opinion of how it might work.
