    They can do so at anytime. Usually though, the United States Trustee (UST) would have contacted you or your attorney a week or so befoer the 341 Meeting or at the 341 Meeting. The other time period is the 10-days following the 341 Meeting where the UST can file a statement of presumed abuse. The UST can actually wait until day 60 after the 341 Meeting and then file a motion to dismiss if they wanted to.

    However, in most cases, they need additional paperwork or explanation, and that's why you are usually contacted early. I don't think I have ever heard or read a case where the UST never said a word or asked for a thing and then suddenly on Day 60 filed a Motion to Dismiss.

    Remember, for about 90% of cases, UST interest in the case never happens.
