Stressfull waiting!

We have choosen to go forward, although I already knew that was really the only option. Met with another lawyer today who we will go forward with. We are going to visit family in 3 weeks so we are waiting 2 weeks to file just to be sure the 341 isnt that time.

Lawyer said it should be pretty straight forward. We have a business which is worth less than the debt it owes so he said that should be fine but be prepared for questions on it. We also had some normal living expenses within the last 90 days, about 2k. He said it could also be an issue but at worst the trustee would require that paid back which I can deal with.

I'm just stressed like crazy. I've run the numbers and know where we will stand. It's very managable and I'll look into a PT job after we get through this so we have a little more cushion each day but it is sooo scary not having anything to fall back on if we have an issue.

I know people say that's what got you into BK but it's not in our case though a few emergency did add onto it. Just so worried about the 1st 6 months and trying to build up a savings in case.

The time right before you file BK is very stressful. There are so many questions in your mind and sleepless nights. Bankruptcy is a business decision you are making for yourself and your family. Bankruptcy is a part of the legal system, designed to give debtors a fresh start. There is not shame in any of it - it is just a new adventure and a new path you are starting out on. Yeah I think the emotion of BK is past, it's the fear of not having credit if we run into problems. I know if we cna get through 6-12 months things will be so much better. I won't be stressed every month knowing we are negative and at some point it has to end.
