When to surrender the van

I was discharged in 7/09. Did not reaffirm van, I can not afford the payments
on it. How long before they take it, or do I call them and surrender it. If they repo it will they call 1st andgive a warning that that are going to repo/want it back? 1st missed payment due 7/8/10

OK, so you filed last year and did a ride-though it looks like. Now you cannot make the payments. You haven't even missed the first payment yet so it's going to be probably two months before they come get it. I would call them and see if you can get an extentsion on the loan. You might be able to drive it for three months for free.....that's what I did when I gave mine up in the BK. Filed in August, they didn't come get it until November.

Yes I did a ride though and have not missed any payments.
In Maryland to drop insurance you must turn in the tags. I am
worried that they would repo the car with the tags on and no warning.
It would be nice to use the van untill next month.
I have a replacement for the van but am still working on getting it taged.
