Tuition Debt...Filing BK...CAN I GET MY TRANSCRIPTS?

It is very annoying...I received a refund check of $1000...I can see me paying that back...but that is not what they are asking for..They are asking for the amount left over after they had to send the loans back...but why would you ask for that considering I was not there..Ugh! I will be going there Monday...I will pay the $1000 but I do not feel like I owe the rest...

This is clearly a mess you will need to work out with your attorney. I would try to get information in writing from you school so you can have it documented as to what they are saying. Some financial aid workers are students and I have come across many that are not so bright, though I've met some that are. Hopefully if you can get details in writing in can help clear up the confusion.

Good luck in nursing school! There are no new grad nursing jobs in Ohio, so hopefully by the time you get out, there will be!

Yes! It is a HUGE MESS! But...I am hoping that I can get it straight and that it will work in my favor...AND WOW!? Really...NONE?!?...I should be finished with just receiving my licensure for RN in 2014...Ohhh Goodness..It sounds like such a long time from here...However...I am hoping things do change...even though I don't plan to live here in Ohio for much longer after that....Thanks for the post!!

HA! Yes! I was only there 1 week....I have no clue how I could have a transcript...but obviously I do because the school I am trying to transfer to asked for them and when I went to go get them they stated I had this balance that I need to pay before I am able to get them....according to the college that I am trying to get my transcripts from they didn't find out I was withdrawn until a month later because I didn't withdraw properly..so I guess...I do have transcripts but all that they will have on them are W's....all I really need the damn things for is for financial aid purposes...I dnt have any grades to transfer over...I dnt understand why they wnt to hold them..well of course to get paid but...sheesh...I dnt even feel I owe what they are saying I owe
