I tried to find an answer to this on here, but didn't.
I am preparing to file for a Chapter 7. On both the Nolo online means test, and on the form B 22a, there is a section for projected Chapter 13 administraive expenses and the average administrative fee based on the percentage rate charged by your district. It seems that you include this even if you are filing for a 7, to see what things would look like if you were converted to a 13?
Anyway, the calculation on the Nolo page seems odd to me. It adds your future payments on secured claims (i.e., mortgage, car monthly payments), "other payments on secured claims," and payments on "priority claims". Then, it adds 1/60th of your threshold debt payment. For me, this equals a $1,507 monthly payment, which seems INSANE, and then multiplied by my districts 10% multiplier, comes to a $150 monthly administrative fee. My DMI on the Nolo is $16. This calculation just doesn't seem right to me. Any one here figured this one out?
