When listing your property, has anyone experienced the trustee coming to your house to verify what you have listed? And if so,has anyone ever had items taken away if you are over the exempt dollar amount? Also, when listing your items - how do you determine the value of each item; by retail or yard sale value?

Yard sale value.
The trustee doesn't come to your house. HOWEVER, if you are in the Middle District of Fl the Trustee will most likely send an appraiser to your home to value your assets if your valuation seems low on the petition. There is a particular Trustee in the Middle District that likes to do that, but it is extremely rare thoughout the rest of the country.
