My husband and I filed Chapter 7, had the 341 hearing and are a no asset case awaiting discharge. We are letting the house go with the bankruptcy because it is more than $220k underwater but the mortgage was included as an expense for the means test. Does anyone know if there will be any problems or affect our discharge if we move into a rental before the discharge? I need to get my kids into a better school district and neighborhood and this is are opportunity to do so and I'd like them to start school in the new school district when everyone else starts, which is in August and our discharge might not occur by August first plus we found a great place to rent but they are looking for a start date of July 1st and we really don't want to lose out on the place in a great area and school district. We are not being forclosed on yet so we have time to stay or move out slowly, but with my daughter in high school and the move already hard on her, we'd like her to start the new school year with everybody else. Also, we've been saving money to move and I have it at home, can I put it in the bank yet?
