MA laws don't allow them to foreclose or accelerate the note (i.e make you pay the whole thing) if you're current anyway. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. I doubt it actually - they really don't need another foreclosure whatever state you live in. All they did was change my mortgage bill to read 'for informational purposes only' - I still have online access and I still pay the same way I used to. But check with your lawyer.
