I'm going to be declaring bankruptcy soon and I'm a little nervous about what is on my bank statements. I saw an attorney back in February and decided that I would declare bankruptcy. I stopped paying my credit cards. Over the last few months I've made some trips to a local casino to do some gambling. The money I took out at the casino shows up on my bank statements. Will this look bad for my bankruptcy filing? What should I do?

Your lawyer should know your trustee's views on this. Unless there's some hurry to file, he may recommend that you wait a few more banking cycles so it won't show up on the statements produced to the trustee.
If I were your attorney and there was no impending garnishment or repo or other emergency, I would advise you to wait a couple or three cycles. Trouble comes more than enough even without an invitation.Last edited by MSbklawyer; 05-31-2010, 11:46 AM.Pay no attention to anything I post. I graduated last in my class from a fly-by-night law school that no longer exists; I never studied or went to class; and I only post on internet forums when I'm too drunk to crawl away from the computer.
