    Yay! I'm Discharged!

Got my official notice this week. I am discharged. I have been monitoring my credit score and it has already increased. It went from a 553 to 563 to 596 beginning April 30 up until now. I'm using myfico.com's Score Watch to keep tabs.

Since I'm so used to using debit cards and cash, I don't see myself getting in any credit card debt again. Most of my stuff was from college, now what's left is student loans.

How soon after discharge do most people wait to get/apply for credit cards?

Yesh, I think it's about $4.95 for the score monitoring.

Thx...Did you get the card? I had one with them years, and years ago. I wonder if they'll give me one...I wonder if my score is high enough to get any card. But I was thinking of waiting a little while to apply. I'm scared the inquiry will mess me up.

This is great of course, but I'm wondering why it took you 5 months after the 341 instead of the customary 2 months. I hope to get my discharge in less than 10 days.

Most people get it in under 6 months. Never heard of it being as soon as 2...But doesn't mean it can't happen.
