How do they know how much money is in your account the day you file? Do you have to get a print-out from all your accounts that day and submit it to your attorney to be included with your other paperwork? Or do you submit a bank statement at the meeting that shows how much money you had on that date?

The day we signed the petition in the attorney's office we told him how much was in each account. We also had to print out bank statements that showed the file date's balance for each account for the 341 meeting. But the trustee never asked to see them.
I think they take your word for it because you can't lie. They can ask for a statement and since you can't change the past you'd be screwed.attorney consult and decided to file, 02/15/2010
