Old Tuition Debt

We are filing Chapter 7 this Wednesday and my husband just got a collection letter yesterday for an old tuition debt from when he attended college back in 2001. It is for $3900. My attorney is supposed to be calling me back later today, but in the meantime, do any of you know whether this is dischargeable in bankruptcy or not?

I was told yes for tuition, no for Federal student loans.

I hope so too. That's the only way im going to ever get my transcript they are holding until I pay---sucks I can go on for my Master's or get a Fed job without it!!!!
