Can a different attorney file for you?

Is there any potential problem with another attorney (within the same office) being the one to file your case, rather than your own attorney? Ours is going to be out of the office during the timeframe we would like to file. Is there much to the actual filing process, or is it just basically hitting "send" on the keyboard? Will our attorney's name still be on our case, or would the other attorney become the go-to person for us and the trustee?
(We will have a "signing appointment", prior to the filing, so we can make sure everything was entered correctly...but I'm not sure if that appointment will be with our attorney either)

No problem at all; it is basically hitting "send" like you said.

If YOUR attorney is only gone a short while, I imagine that person will still be the attorney of record for your case.

Even though you may have a good relationship with YOUR attorney, you have hired the "firm", so I don't think it matters who actually files your case. Unless your case has some complexity, nothing significant is going to happen after the case is filed anyway, 90% of the work has already been done.

Great, thank you for the quick response, HHM. The other attorney is supposed to be calling us back today...they were kind of leaving it up to us whether to have him file for us or wait for our attorney to be back (he will only be gone a week, but if we postpone we'd have to wait a full month for our ideal filing time again, and I really want to get this over with).
