I am suppose to send in my rough draft and all the documents the lawyer is asking for. I looked over my list of creditors and there were quite a few that were not on my credit report that I had to add on a separate piece of paper to send in with my petition. Is it necessary for me to make an additional appointment to go in and make sure that they added everyone?

Yes, make the appointment and go in. If possible be in the office when the attorney files the paperwork. They usually do this online nowdays.
Every single time we went to see our attorney, we went over the paperwork, and each and every time there were mistakes in it--usually the same d****d mistakes made before, already corrected, but the corrections had not been saved on her computer. We have some real horror stories about our attorney....

Just make sure everything is correct on the documents. That is the official legal record. And if you do happen to find something wrong, make a note of it and bring it up to the trustee during the 341. And bring any paperwork that could be of use to that meeting as well just in case the trustee asks for it.Comment

It really depends on how the firm you hired conducts business. The better firms will provide an actual appointment with your attorney to review and go over things. The lesser firms will simply schedule you with a paralegal to go over thing and the mills will generally send you the completed petition and ask you to make any changes.Comment
