I talked to as few creditors as possible. When I finally did retain an attorney I was able to give them his name and number. For as many creditors as I have I only had to talk to maybe 5 and for some reason the rest just seem to "vanish" from calling? I have finally turned my home phone back on and have turned the sound back on my cell phone. I lived with a silent cell phone and forwarded (from home) phone calls for almost a year.

Thank You Ann, you say you ignored the calls for over a year?
Just curious did anyone sue you in this time? Did you not file in that year? I'm scared to death about being sued and having to jump into filing. I plan to file Pro Se in late July or so. I can't afford an attorney.

Yes, I too heard that Amex is very aggressive but luckily for me we were never sued.
