It's over!
It is over! Friday May 7 was day 60. On Monday May 10 the discharge was issued and the case closed! We are happy! We now have a fresh start and are wiser and careful! We don't need a vehicle at the moment but it still makes us happy that we are getting many "pre-approved" auto offers.
We defaulted Nov 2008. We had very high credit card debt. We tried to settle but were sued Dec 2009 by BOA. We spent the first 2 weeks of January very upset as to what to do. We then contacted a good BK lawyer and gave him the information. We were very worried until he confirmed that we qualified for chapter 7 and that ours was one of the simplest most clear cut problem free cases he had ever seen! (Someone had told us that the very high balances would indicate possible fraud). We were a little concerned about the 341 (which was nothing), and then pretty tranquil during the 60 days.
My advice?, if you are in an impossible situation, don't fight with the bill collectors, you need to file ASAP! Get a fresh start and use it wisely!
