Time frame for settling with Trustee

We filed for Chapter 7 and had our 341 last month. 10 days later we received a Presumption of Abuse letter. Our lawyer talked with the US Trustee, and apparently she is declining to file a motion to dismiss or motion to convert!

My question now is if the Trustee comes after any of our $ (we had some assets that were not exempt), when will this happen? What if we don't have the full amount that they request? Is there a certain amount of time we have to come up with any $ they feel is due?

That's awesome that the attorney talked to the UST and got that taken care of! What a relief for you!!! I'm jealous

From what I know, the trustee can take the payment in one payment or take monthly payments for a set period of time.

My att said with extra assets in the Chapter 7, if we kept them, we would have the option of paying for them over 18 months - but i am sure if is different everywhere
