Online means tests- anyone use them?

This was very helpful in putting in all the standard numbers -

Nolo Bankruptcy Means Test Calculator, powered by www.LegalConsumer.com. This free calculator computes whether you can file for Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy by applying IRS expense and income standards for your state and county. Based on Official Bankruptcy Form 22A, the Means Test Form.

I dont qualify for 7 with income, but after all the standard stuff and a few other expenses I do - It was encouraging, how accuarate would this be? Id looks just like the 22a but with all the standard stuff put it

The Legal Consumer Ch 7 online forms are the very same B22A forms used to file bk. They just auto-enter some of the required figures in some of the fields is all.

How accurate the results are depends on how your local bk court and bk district interpret some of the "gray" areas on the forms. Only when an experienced bk attorney fills in the forms knowing what will fly and what won't do you get the real picture after all the interpretations have been added in.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
