That's real fun!

    What is an AP?
The Paralegal told me today that our attorney would need to sign the request to have them pulled & they would remove/darken out our checking acct. number showing on them, but they would have to be resubmitted for public record (our SSN only shows last 4 digits)

Yup... that's called redaction. I just did that on a "claim" filed that had my entire SSN on it. First the Clerk (Case Manager) restricted public access, then i filed a proposed order to redact attaching the actual "redacted" document.
      Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)

What is the 'AP' that LALADY is speaking of?
I surely don't want my entire financial life made public as hers was! I guess I could have left it as it was since the routeing number wasn't showing (just the ck #)....now I just hope they don't decide to make more of our info public for having to redact for us!

AP is short for "Adversary Proceeding" and is the formal complaint process within the Bankruptcy. It's a "mini-trial" but has all the formality and trimmings of any trial held in a U.S. Federal Court. It's only a "mini-trial" because it's inside the Bankruptcy case. These are usually done by the United States Trustee or creditors seeking to determine dischargeability or a debt.

This type of proceeding, an AP, is usually very financial in nature so many things are addressed in the "trial". it's typical to see you're entire financial history spelled out in the complaint, memorandum(s) of law, the findings of fact, and/or the ruling!

Oh yes music12... I forgot to add that they are rare. Mostly due to the cost and the burden of proof being on the plaintiff.
