hi everyone.
Never posted before, very scared, and hoping for some last-minute suggestions.
Long story short: am successfully employed at a gross of $95K a year. Ex-husband was into borrowing against the house and buying rental properties which all went bust of course. We're underwater and in the process of foreclosure on all of them (already lost one). Huge HELOCS for each. Am hoping for Ch 7 because more than 50% of my debts are the investment and not personal. I am hoping to keep my townhouse (on which I'm current on my payments), my car (current on payments) and my 401k. Giving up my stocks (about $13K).
I'm due to receive tax return from the IRS ($8K) and will probably spend about $1 -2K on daycare for the kids. But if that tax refund will not arrive by Monday I'm filing anyway. No savings, no other assets. About $15K in cr card debts. Any last-minute suggestions? I'm scared, feel cornered, and very afraid of Ch 13. My attorney is hoping to push and win Ch 7.
Many thanks for any suggestions
