    House and Co-signer

I filed in february and am near my discharge, well I have a house with the first loan through wells fargo and a second home equity line of credit with bank of america. I have a co-signer on the loans and am wondering when both loans are discharged, is the co-signer still responsible for the loans? he did not file.

Yes, this is one of the risks of co-signing. I hope you've talked with the person who cosigned the mortgages with you and they know about your bankruptcy filing.

I'm not an attorney. My replies are merely suggestions or observations, not legal advice. As always, consult with an attorney before making any decisions.

yes he is aware, he wants to leave the house too, but I am not leaving until we can get this resolved so I don't ruin his credit.
