I had been previously ignoring the calls from creditors until I had retained an attorney, which I put the deposit down on last week.
So far, the top 3 that have been calling me are HSBC, Citi for my 76 Gas Card, and Citi for a Goodyear card. Here's how they've played out so far:
HSBC - Advised them (very politley) that I retained an attorney for CH7. They requested name and phone number. He said "Thank you for being upfront with us and i'll note your other accounts". That was it.
Citi (76 Gas). Pretty much the same, said thank you and good luck.
Citi Goodyear. Same, said that this would put a 30-day hold on further calls and thank you.
So far all calls have been good, the representatives all very professional. I'm coming up to my first round of 30-day past dues.
