Mortgage Reported Balance Zero after Dismissal

I intentionally had my bankruptcy dismissed. I had two predatory mortgages going in, which I rescinded PRIOR to discharge, reaffirmation was not even requested by the lenders. Because of threats from lenders to try and foreclose weeks before 341 hearing, we intentionally dismissed our Ch7 (long story, and probably not related to my question here).

WHY does my credit report show that our mortgage has a zero balance on my mortgages and "account closed". ??

Any thoughts? Anyone ever seen this before?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is a bookkeeping reconciliation on their part for write offs. Don't take it too seriously as you still owe the money and they still can sue you after a foreclosure.

It is like I said bookkeeping. 'Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

Thanks for the reply. I am sure it must be. Still very odd. NO statements, no phone calls, NOTHING. It was dismissed a longgg time ago. Can't understand why they are waiting so long for notice of default or acceleration. Weird. My attorney won't let me call them, he is hoping they try to foreclose so he can sue them for wrongful foreclosure (it was rescinded).

      Time will tell. Thanks again.
