Request for special notice?

Hello, I just received,

A request for special notice and service of papers and reservation rights

It came from an attorney who is representing my Mortgage company. A property that I plan on surrendering. BTW the house is at least $250k under water. in California

What does this mean? What are they trying to do? My attorney is on vacation. Thanks for the help!

Means nothing to you. It's basically a notice of appearance and request for notice. It informs the Clerk of the Court to put them on the Mailing Matrix and associate that particular party with a particular creditor in your case.
