I'm filing in two months and my lawyer did not want any bank statements except on filing day (current printout). I brought 6 months worth anyhow. Do you all think this is odd? I thought it was standard to require 6 months? I was required to provide paystubs and tax returns.

Bank statements were not requested of me, either. I'm in CA. I did give him a printout of my bank balances on the date of filing, but he didn't ask for it. I just wanted to make sure my bases were covered....Filed Chapter 13 on 2-28-10. 341 completed 4/14/10. Confirmed 5/14/10. Lien strip granted 2/2/11

This does not mean that your trustee does not want them.....keep them printed out and ready to send. Within a couple of weeks after filing you will receive a packet from your trustee outlining exactly what he or she wants (mine was quite extensive and did include 6 months of bank statements as well as 6 months of pay stubs, among other things.Comment
