we have term life insurance / 2 policies- have had them for years so we got them really really cheap. we have a policy that covers disability & term life and we also each have a regular term life policy - altogether we only pay about $55/mo for everything- but we bought our policies at 23 yrs old (we're in our mid 30's now).

coloradobell- we were taking extra out in taxes (to get a income tax refund at end of year and cause i had a very small business & didn't know if i'd owe) but when figuring out the payments & income, they have to include back in the over witholdings to get your true net.

our atty ran the runs every which way possible and has spent alot of time with us & on our case even though he hasn't even been paid yet.

Maybe if we weren't so stupid thinking we could head this off & fix our problems ourselves, we wouldn't have refinaced our house in december- no cash out- just went from a 15yr to a 30yr for a smaller pymt. went from almost 1200/mo to less than $800/mo.at that time bk didn't even cross our minds as an option. we were just trying to save ourselves.
i wish i found this forum a long time ago.....

boy andy, it seems like you've thought of everything. On the nolo means test, it said that if you could prove b y receipts that you required more than the national IRS numbers re utilities and out of pocket health that you could claim more....Not sure where you live but may be if you heated your house to 90 or air conditioned it to 50.....your utiliity bills might rise another $200 a month! (Of course you'd have to pay em...so maybe no ta good idea.

Ask your attonrye about out of pocket health expenses...hmmm

Good luck and I hope you find a way!
