I am filing for a chapter 7 in May. Question...My NEW attorney wants me to list all creditors and their correct addresses. I did this a few weeks ago when I had my OLD attorney who really botched everything up for me (I know I have to get over it but it is hard) and was wondering how important is it to get the EXACT address? I swear when I look at my credit report and then on some of my old statements there is a different address. I bet some of them have 3 or more addresses. Can anyone tell me which one is the most important to list? The one on the credit report or from my old statements? Thanks

It should not matter as many creditors use one for business, one for collections and billing. I would use either, the address where you got the load and it should be on the original paperwork when you got the loan, or, where you make your payments. It will eventually get to the right department, but that is not your worry as long as the address is accurate. 'HubIf I knew it all, would I be here?? Since I stopped paying my creditors a year before I could file, most of my debt was transferred to CAs and I wasn't sure what collection agency went with what bill. I provided the last "known" addresses to my attorney and that was good enough.May 2008 Hired 1st Attorney/Stopped paying CCs

IMO, any valid address for the creditor is fair game: I used corporate offices on a couple creditors on my matrix, and in a couple cases I used domain name registration records.
Prior to filing, I hand-delivered a cease and desist letter to a branch of a bank that had been calling me; the branch happened to be in a supermarket.C7 Filed: 2009-11-06 | 341: 2009-12-14: | DISCHARGED: 2010-02-09

There is a thing called the Bankruptcy Notification Center which handles matching up names and addresses to creditors, many/most of whom have registered for electronic data feeds. If someone like Citibank or AT&T had to rely on paper notification, there really would be no hope of processing it all correctly. They also use fuzzy matching algorithms to match up the addresses.filed chapter 13..confirmed...converted to chapter 7...DISCHARGED!
