What financial records do I need to keep until my 341 meeting? Will i need to bring paperwork to the meeting such as my recent check stubs and bank statements or do they just use what my lawyer has? I am in a wedding out of town next weekend and I am afraid to use my debit/credit card because they might look at my bank statement and think I was on a vacation spending money. I am renting a car and staying in a hotel for 2 nights. I have to go I am the Matron of Honor! I am so worried about this.

Your lawyer should have already advised you to have made 2 copies of everything you gave him. One copy for your records and once copy in case the TT ask for further info. As far as check stubs and bank statements post filing some districts may ask for paystubs/bank staements to cover time between filing and 341 but it is very rare. I don't think you have much to worry about but I would ask your lawyer to be sure.

the only thing we took to our 341 meeting was 2 forms of ID to get into the federal courthouse in Kansas City, KS. our lawyer had everything already and our meeting only lasted 90 seconds. as i understand it a chapter just gives a "snapshot" of your finances on the day you filed. we had only $5 on hand when we filed according to our bank statement, but after that we were able to use our debit cards for our normal financial needs.
